Once I’ve booked the tour online what do I have to do next?

The site will confirm the transaction with a summary of the tour you paid for and will send you a voucher to print out (alternately you can copy down the details given) with the date, the time and the meeting place and how to get there.
 

Can I take the Chiaia Food Tour without the Underground Naples part?

Absolutely, just send us an email before purchasing the tour indicating the date and name of participants, and we will get back to you with a confermation email and payment instructions.

I did not recieve a confirmation email, how come?

Confirmation emails are sent automatically to the address supplied during purchase. If you don't seem to get yours check your spam folder, it is probably there. if not, drop us a line and we will forward it to you.

If I have allergies to particular foods or dietary restrictions can I still take part?

What is the cancellation policy for clients travelling on cruise ships?

We understand that cruise ship travellers may encounter sudden itinerary changes due to weather conditions. Participation fees will be reimbursed if comunicated via email at least 24 hours before the tour booked.

Is it only possible to pay online?

Booking and payment is mainly online through our website, contact us via email (info@eatinitalyfoodtours.com) if you have any particular issues and we will find a way to help you out.
 

Is there a waiting list for the tours which are already full?

No, there is no waiting list, but you should try to contact us anyway and we will endeavour to accommodate you where possible.
 

Can I take part in the tour if I am a vegetarian?

As long as you let us know before you purchase your tour and you are able to eat dairy products we will be able to accommodate you.
 

Will it be possible to do some shopping during the tour?

Yes, on some of our stops you will have the chance to buy products. Keep in mind that whatever you buy during our walking tours you will have to carry with you until the end of the tour.
 

Will the tours take place in bad weather too?

Yes, the tours are always guaranteed to take place rain or shine, so if the weather is bad make sure you come prepared! We advise you to check our refund policy.
 

Are the tours in English?

Yes, all our tours are in English and where the vendors and food producers don’t speak English your tour leader will translate everything for you. Most of our Tour Leaders speak more that one language so will probably be able to help you understand!
 

Can I book a private tour for a group?

Yes, contact us at least 48 hours before and we will organise your tour.
 

What should I bring with me on a tour?

We suggest you bring a small bottle of water, comfortable shoes, a rain jacket and umbrella (depending on season/weather). A small camera and all your love for Italian food!

Is it possible to cancel and be refunded for a tour?

The tours are refundable up until three weeks before the selected date with a loss of 15% due to the costs of the bank transactions. Otherwise they are not refundable and dates may not be modified.
 

How many people can take part in a tour?

Our tour groups will be composed of 12 people maximum, depending on the type of tour purchased. The Classes have different numbers but never too crowded.
 

Will there be bathroom breaks during the tour?

Of course, there will be several opportunities to use restroom facilities during the tour.
 

Are the tours accessible to people with a handicap?

The tours available to wheelchair users are specified in the description of the tours. Unfortunately, due to the nature of our cities it is not always possible. Check this possibility before you purchase a ticket.
 

If it rains will the tour be cancelled?

Our tours run rain or shine, so come prepared! Bring an umbrella, nothing stops us!
 

Can I bring my camera or video camera?

Yes, you can immortalise your experience however you see fit!
 

How long does the tour take?

This depends on the type of tour purchased: check the details on the specifcs tour page.
 

Are tips for the tour leaders included in the price of the tour?

No, they are not included. Tips are welcome, but are not obligatory.
 

Where does the tour finish?

Starting and finishing points are indicated on the specific tour page, you will also be notified with the exact starting and finishing point on your voucher and helped out by our tour leaders with indications to reach your destinations.
 

Can young children participate?

There is a reduced ticket for children from ages 4 to 12 participating in the tastings.. Above this age the ticket is full price. If the chosen tour is on foot, the non-participating minors do not pay anything, but if the tour is by minibus or a day tour we do not accept non tasting participants and under the age of 12y.o. For these tours the fee is always full price.

How much will I eat during the tour?

During the tour you will eat a bit of everything, tasting various products and recipes, once added all together it will be a lot, so make sure you come hungry!
 

How far will I have to walk during the tour?

During the walking tour we will be walking almost constantly. There will be some small breaks but the pace will be constant as we will be on a schedule. You will be on your feet for some of the time and will confortably be seated at a table for the rest.

Are there many stairs to take?

This also depends on the tour chosen, but rest assured that we organise the routes so that they are as unstrenuous as possible for our clients.
 

Is wine included?

Yes, wine is included. You will be served some tastings at different places and a glass of wine when seated for a dish. Any additional wine or beverage will be at your expence.

Is Naples a safe city?

Naples has a reputation of beeing a dangerous city. This is very far from the truth! It is a sunny and beautiful city, and the areas we visit are completely safe! Even so, we still suggest not to attract unwanted attention by wearing expensive jewelry and carrying around large equipment.

How do I get an invoice after buying a tour?

An invoice will be automatically generated and sent to you via email at the address you indicated toghether with a voucher that must be presented to the tour leader at the meeting point.
